Hello,

I obtained my doctoral degree in Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ponce Health Science, located in Puerto Rico; I graduated in 2017.  I am a bilingual  provider, fluent in both English and Spanish. I have provided therapy services within the prison system and within the community; including working with offenders and youth who suffered from severe mental health issues like schizophrenia, and personality issues such as Antisocial Personality, Borderline Personality to name a few. In addition, as part of my experience I was also able to treat teens and adults within the community who came in with anxiety issues, depression, suicidal ideas, and adjustment stressors to life circumstances. I believe in utilizing different approaches and modalities so that my clients can experience growth while engaging in counseling. I am able to assess for a variety of mental health issues that affect many people in our community. I specialize in working with adults struggling with Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Grieving, Relationship Problems, and Communication problems in couples among others.

 

I strongly believe that we all experience struggles and at times feel as if no one understands us and what we go through. I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their life. I don’t believe there is a limit to our human capacity. I believe the main reason we develop mental health issues is because we have learned unhealthy behaviors that we have picked up along the way. It is my desire to use the tools that I have gained over the years to help others navigate through life's difficulties. Let's talk about how I can help you.
